Dear Jacinda Aredern,
I am writing to you regarding an issue at Ahipara Primary school.
I am very concerned about an issue we face in the Far North/Ahipara. We need to build a school hall.
It would help us a lot. Ahipara primary school would love a school hall. Our school has grown as a community. We now have 250 students at our school. We are currently sitting on the cold concrete in all types of weather except when it’s raining. That means we are missing community time together as a school.
We need an arena to do our community activities. Here is a list of reasons why we need a school hall.
-We have a school production every year that is a community gathering to show our pride in Ahipara and it would help to have a school hall so we could do our productions inside so we can house more people and do it inside if rainy.
-We could do music and concerts for school gatherings.
-Assemblies
- Kapa haka
-Bands and festivals
-Hire out the hall so we can make money
Those are my reasons why we should have a school hall. Thank you.
P.S. I liked what you did in lockdown. (Thanks for getting us out of the pandemic.)
Yours sincerely,
Kentaro Mitchell
