Niue Language week 2021

 W.A.L.A Niuean Language week. 

Blurb: The last couple of weeks we have been working on a Niuean Language week. I learned a lot about Niuean Culture and language I hope this slide helps you learn about Niue too!

Reflection:

I found this very challenging and time-consuming.

I enjoyed this a lot and learnt a lot of things.

Water saftey with Nancy

 WALA:  Water safety

Blurb: Today Whaea Nancy came in and talked to us about water safety. I learned how to swim in a river and huddle. We also learned about rips and how to deal with them. For instance, don't struggle because it only takes you further out past the breakers.

Reflection: It was very fun and I learned a lot of stuff about rips, boats, rivers and of course the sea. Maybe Whaea Nancy will come to your school next!!

I found it hard: To sing with the class and huddle.

I found it easy to: Answer the questions she asked.

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2021 virtual classroom

The past week, we have been learning about Te Wiki o te Reo Maori. 

Here are the things I learned:

I learned that to introduce yourself in Te Reo all it is, is that you have to say your; name, where your ancestors come from and where you live.

I also learned that Te Reo dropped to a shocking 20% usage in Aotearoa. 

Refugees

Blurb: The past couple of weeks, we have been learning about refugees, We did a reading response sheet. there lives, facts, and how easy we have it. I hope you enjoy it.

REFLECTION:

Like: I liked reading the stories and watching the videos.

Challenging: Listing all the facts.

Next time: I will work faster.

NZ-VR underwater Blake

 WALA: The marine environment and Sir Peter Blake.

Blurb: On Monday, we went into the library to do some VR or Virtual Reality. I found this really fun and stuff. 

Reflection:

Like: I liked the stingrays and SHARKS, VR is pretty simple.

Challenging: The slide was hard but fun.

Next time: I think maybe next time I should have listened harder to the underwater sounds.
